描述：DT40是来自Hyline SC鸡法氏囊淋巴细胞株经鸟类白血病病毒诱导建株的。原始淋巴瘤用罗氏相关病毒1(RAV-1)感染出生１天的小鸡得到。 法氏囊中生成的肿瘤制成细胞悬液后通过静脉注射输入同基因型的受体小鸡。 经过一次体内移植后，建立了DT40细胞株。 这株细胞包含的前病毒基因整合在c-myc原癌基因的上游，表达的c-myc RNA水平较高。 它缺少一个正常c-myc基因，但含有两个拷贝ALV去调控的myc基因。 这株细胞保留了重排免疫球蛋白轻链基因(IgL)的能力。 在IgL位点，DT40包含一个重排和一个胚系同源基因。 c-rel基因和v-rel癌基因在DT40细胞株中都能诱导组织相容性(MHC)II类抗原表达。 v-rel 诱导的MHCII表达比c-rel诱导快，且其有效性在数周后达到c-rel的50倍。 这株细胞呈淋巴母细胞表型。 传染性检测表明DT40释放低水平的传染性RAV-1。这株细胞可以用于稳转研究。
